The
University
of Regina has 13 research institutes and centres on campus. External
research funding has tripled since 1999 and is expected to double
again in the next four years. The Greenhouse Gas Technology Centre
laboratories and pilot plant are home to the University of Regina’s
International Test Centre for Carbon Dioxide Capture.
Nine academic faculties offer instructional programs
leading to 14 different undergraduate degrees in more than 40 areas of specialization.
In addition, the University offers Master’s programs in more than 50 areas
of study, PhD programs in 10 disciplines, and certificates and diplomas in more
than 15 areas.
The
U
of R is twinned with Shandong University in Jinan, China and has an extensive
international program of research, teaching and student exchanges and partnerships.
The University has five areas of strategic emphasis: Social Justice, Health,
Informatics, Culture & Heritage, and Energy & Environment.

the main U of R campus:
CAMPION COLLEGE
Campion College is a Catholic community of learning
in the Jesuit tradition. Working in collaboration with the University of Regina,
and in the context of the Jesuit philosophy of care for the whole person, Campion
combines the values of a liberal arts education with a personal approach to university
study.
FIRST
NATIONS UNIVERSITY OF CANADA
The First Nations University of Canada, formerly the
Saskatchewan Indian Federated College, maintains an annual enrollment of over
2,000 with an alumni base of over 3,000. The main campus in Regina, along with
the Saskatoon and Northern campuses, offers degree, certificate, diploma and
special case Master’s programs.
LUTHER COLLEGE
Luther College offers liberal arts education in a Christian
environment. The college focuses on disciplines in the Arts, Sciences and Fine
Arts. Students benefit from a small, personalized learning environment, a 218-bed
residence and associated facilities, and access to the resources of the University
of Regina.
