The
Regina Knowledge Corridor has experienced significant growth – nearly
$200 million has been invested in new or improved facilities
since 1999.
In recent years, the Regina Knowledge Corridor partners have generated over $400
million a year in economic activity through:
- the purchase of goods and services
- construction activity
- the more than 14,000 students living and working in the Regina area
- the salaries of over 4,000 highly skilled employees and faculty
International partnerships with organizations such as Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), CVIC Software Engineering Co. Ltd., and QiLu Software Park provide important learning, international development, and business opportunities for the Regina Knowledge Corridor students, faculty, and companies.
Wascana Park is
home to the Saskatchewan Legislature, MacKenzie Art Gallery, Joe
Moran Gallery, Saskatchewan Science Centre and Kramer Imax Theatre,
the Saskatchewan Centre of the Arts, the Canada/Saskatchewan Sound
Stage, and the Wascana Waterfowl Park.
The park also hosts numerous events and festivals including Waskimo,
National Aboriginal Day, and the Regina Dragon Boat Festival. |
